After four days of exciting Counter-Strike action in the BLAST.tv Austin Major MRQs, it all came down to the two final spots.
One in North America and one in South America, those spots were ultimately claimed by NRG and BESTIA.
Let's take a look at how they did it.
The day began with BLUEJAYS getting one over on Marsborne. They had to come back from a map down in order to do so, but pulled it off after a strong 13-5 on Ancient and a tense 19-17 on Train.
Their opponent in the final, NRG, also had to come back from a map down in their own 5th-6th place decider match, they lost Mirage 13-9 to Getting Info.
However, nitr0 and his boys were determined to push on, star performances from br0 and nitr0 himself saw NRG advance to the third-place decider against BLUEJAYS with a 13-7 win on Dust2 and 13-10 win on Anubis.
The final game didn't need three maps in order for NRG to book their ticket, they took down BLUEJAYS 13-4 on Train and 16-12 on Dust2.
br0 was unstoppable on Train, the former Astralis player was determined to make the Major just hours after his former team missed out against B8.
Over in South America, BESTIA made the Major on the final day after wins over Sharks and Legacy.
Their win against Sharks was confident, they won Mirage 13-6 and Nuke 13-10.
Legacy's own path to the third-place decider match saw them take on ODDIK, they came back from a map down to win the series 2-1 and book the match with BESTIA.
BESTIA were comfortable again in that final game, sweeping Legacy with a 13-8 on Mirage and 13-5 on Inferno. tomaszin continued his strong form from the earlier matches in that game, his 33 kills was enough to send BESTIA through to the Major in Austin.
