New daily game mode: How to play Nova Shots for BLAST Rivals Hong Kong

Games are a big part of BLAST.tv, and a new game was launched for BLAST Open London back in September. That game, Nova Shots, was a big hit during the event, and it will be making its comeback for BLAST Rivals Hong Kong.

However, Nova shots will be a little different this time around - there’s a whole new feature to spice up the game.

But first, in case you didn’t play last time, let’s go over what Nova Shots actually is.

What is Nova Shots?

Although Nova Shots may sound like gambling, we need to make on thing clear: it really isn't. Nova Shots simulates a stock market experience for players, allowing them to buy and sell Team Tokens in order to manipulate said stock market.

The winning players will be those that hold as many tokens as possible of the team who ends up winning the event.

Completely free to play by downloading the app at Novashots.io, you can't even invest real money into it to try and gain an advantage over the other competitors.

How to play Nova Shots

You'll first need to download the app and create an account, and from there, the steps are pretty simple:

When users create an account, they all start with 1,000 BLAST Tokens.
BLAST tokens are used to buy and sell Team Tokens as the tournament unfolds. Trade anytime. Buy, sell, switch between teams.
Team prices move based on what other players are doing - it works just like a stock market, but instead of companies, players are trading CS teams.
If the player is holding Team Tokens in a team when they win their map, they’ll get a 20% bonus, with an additional 5% underdog bonus added to their Team Token balance within a few minutes of the match ending.
- The underdog bonus is for if a team with a lower token value at the end of the map wins the map.
Sell Team Tokens back into BLAST Tokens whenever the player decides to move into something else. The more players buy a team, the higher its price goes. The more they sell, the more the price drops.
Users can win a share of the $7,500 USDC prize pool by holding as many tokens as possible of the winning team.
- There is also $2,500 available for people playing the new daily mode. (5 x $500)

All that means is that you'll need to keep an eye on the value of your Team Tokens as the tournament progresses, and look to sell them if it means you can profit and stack Tokens for whoever you think might win the event.

If you're lucky - or smart - enough to be one of the players that gets a portion of the prize pool, it will be sent to your Nova Wallet after the tournament concludes.

The new feature

The new Nova Shots feature is a daily mode, completely separate from the main game, allowing you to earn points and potentially win from a daily prize pool.

Players will start each day with zero points and win them by correctly predicting outcomes, the percentage of the prize pool the top players win is based on the amount of points they have earned throughout the day, and will be paid out after the conclusion of the final game of the day.
