FURIA have been in indomitable form recently, and although Falcons pushed them harder that they've ever been pushed before, the number one team in the world came out on top once again.
Battered in the opening map by their opponents, FURIA dug deep, finding openings and winning clutches as all of their star players found big impact to grind out the next three maps.
Falcons opened up the grand final with a bang, they battered FURIA on Inferno to steal away the opening pick of the series.
kyxsan was in stellar form, he lead by example as he ended the map at 13-3 with a 23-7 scoreline. The North Macedonian cut down FURIA's attack time and time again, helping his team to a solid 10-2 CT half.
Heading into Nuke, Falcons had a fantastic chance to make it 2-0 in the series as they limited FURIA to just six CT rounds.
YEKINDAR was having none of it, though, and brought his team back into the series by pulling off a generational T side. 4.06 rated, the Latvian went 21-3 on the T side - and to put how crazy that is into perspective, the next highest kills on FURIA was yuurih, who got seven.
YEKINDAR was a battering ram. Throwing caution to the wind he found entries with ease and in typical YEKINDAR fashion, simply never stopped going.
Although kyousuke had bounced back from a 0-7 start to top frag on the side of Falcons thanks to his own T side heroics, there was simply nothing the prodigious Russian could do as YEKINDAR blitzed Falcons' CT side to secure a 13-9 win.
Now anyone's game, Train was a bloodbath. Both teams excel on the map, and it showed early doors as FURIA picked up an early T side lead thanks to some incredible calling from FalleN, just to be blown away by the strength of the unpredictable Falcons defence.
Both teams were firing on all cylinders, taking countless moments of individual brilliance in order for either team to claim a round. There were clutches and denials in almost every round, and it was always destined that an overtime would be required to find a victor.
Everything changed when it got to that overtime, though. FURIA were done with Train and they made sure Falcons knew it. Whilst the first OT remained even with both teams claiming two CT rounds, the second couldn't have been more different. FURIA came out swinging on their T side, winning three rounds in a row and then sealing it with a single CT round to win the map at 19-15.
A strong map for multiple members of the FURIA team, molodoy had come online during the 34 rounds of Train - and that spelled danger for Falcons.
Mirage, just like Train, was an incredibly even affair. Once again both teams recorded 7-5 CT halves, and just like on Train, it was the two AWPers that were getting either team over the line.
molodoy and m0NESY were both incredible on Mirage, and as the game ended in double OT for the second map in a row, both stars had over 30 kills to their name.
OT itself was a tense affair, with both teams winning three CT rounds in a row in the first. FURIA slipped the script in the second again, though, shutting down Falcons after their opponent's claimed the first round of the second OT and winning three more in a row to take the win at 19-16.
A third trophy for FURIA in a row and their fourth from five events, they now head into the StarLadder Budapest Major as the favourites to win it all.
