Counter-Strike returns to Portugal as BLAST Premier Open S2 heads to Porto this September

The world’s best Counter-Strike teams are set to return to Portugal as BLAST Premier Open S2 2026 heads to Porto’s Super Bock Arena from 4-6 September 2026. The three-day event will bring thousands of fans together in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, with millions more tuning in worldwide for another major moment in the BLAST Premier calendar.

The BLAST Premier Open Porto marks BLAST’s fourth visit to Portugal, following landmark events in Lisbon in 2018, 2022 and 2025, and continues the country’s growing legacy as a key destination for world-class esports.

The Super Bock Arena will host the final stage of competition, welcoming six elite teams who qualify through the opening stage at BLAST’s Copenhagen studios. Across the opening week of action in the Copenhagen Studios, 16 of the world’s top Counter-Strike 2 teams will battle it out for a place in front of a live arena audience, as well as a share of the $1.1m dollar prize pool and participation fees.

The event forms part of a landmark year for BLAST Premier, with 2026 seeing the circuit expand into new cities and markets around the world. Porto joins a global calendar of events across Rotterdam, Netherlands, Fort Worth, Texas, USA and Hong Kong, further cementing BLAST’s position at the forefront of premium competitive entertainment.

Supported by Turismo de Portugal, BLAST Premier Open Porto will deliver three days of world-class competition, fan experiences and broadcast entertainment, showcasing Portugal on the global esports stage and driving international attention to the region.
