After Vitality and MOUZ qualified for playoffs on day three of BLAST Open Lisbon, Eternal Fire and NAVI joined them on day four.
We got to enjoy another four banger games, so let's go over the action.
The day began with Liquid vs Imperial, a three-map game that featured two dominant wins for Liquid.
The series opened on Dust2, with every member of Liquid recording a positive KD as they took the map 13-4 thanks to a 10-2 lead on their CT side.
Imperial fought back on Nuke, closing out the map 13-11 after initially being down 10-7. noway was the difference maker on Imperial's T side, he recorded a 1.92 rating in the second half to take us to a third map.
However, map three was another blowout in favour of Liquid. This time on Anubis, NAF, Twistzz, and NertZ dominated as Liquid took the series 13-5 and kept themselves in the tournament.
With one Brazilian team already eliminated, things went from bad to worse for the South American teams as FURIA joined Imperial on their way to the airport.
FURIA dominated on Dust2, kicking off the map with a 10-2 T side. A gap that was too big for M80 to close in the second half, FURIA closed it out 13-7 with KSCERATO topping the scoreboard on 20 kills.
M80 bounced back on Train, pushing us to a third map after a 13:10 win. reck and s1n starred on the map, their combined 37 kills was enough to outdo another 22 kills from KSCERATO.
Map three was a banger, a classic third-place decider on Inferno with an overtime. 19-17 when it was all said and done, Swisher, Lake, and slaxz- did enough to get M80 over the line and keep themselves in the competition.
After two full BO3s we were due a 2-0, and we got one out of Eternal Fire and G2.
Eternal Fire began the series on their favoured map, Anubis, and opened it up with an impressive 9-3 CT half. G2 attempted to mount a comeback, but the deficit was too large and Wicadia's 22 kills saw them at a disadvantage in the series.
Eternal Fire converted their advantage to a series win on Inferno, kicking off the map with another strong CT side. 8-4 at the half, Wicadia again top-fragged, his 19 kills alongside 18 from woxic was enough to seal another 13-10 win.
The MongolZ got the better of NAVI at ESL Pro League Season 21, but NAVI got revenge on them to confirm their place in the playoffs.
NAVI came flying out of the gates, they opened up Dust2 with a strong 10-2 CT side. w0nderful and b1t were solid in that opening half, they recorded 2.10 and 1.80 T side ratings to help NAVI on their way to a 13-7 win.
Inferno couldn't have been more different, it was The MongolZ who dominated from round one. The Mongolian team were unstoppable on their CT side, leaving NAVI training 11-1 at the half. Wrapped up at 13-1, NAVI had a mountain to climb in map three to bounce back from the crushing defeat.
However, as they often did in 2024, NAVI came back and put the hurt to The MongolZ on map three. It may have gone all the way to overtime on Mirage, but 25 kills from jL and another 22 from Aleksib was enough for NAVI to win 16-13.
