BLAST Bounty Season 2 just keeps on delivering, with four banger matches throughout the quarter-finals here in Malta.
A round that saw the CS return to normalcy as the favourites won in three out of four matches; every single one of them delivered, and they each could have gone either way.
We’ve also now got our two semi-finals set, so let’s go over the action and preview those games.
Day one began with the titans of Spirit taking on a Liquid team that had unexpectedly beaten both Vitality and G2 2-0 in the online stage.
Unfortunately for Liquid, their luck ran out in this one; they were defeated 2-0 by Spirit after a masterclass from donk on Anubis. It very well could have been Liquid’s day, though; there were a number of swing rounds that could’ve turned the tide in their favour had they won them.
We then moved onto 3DMAX vs MOUZ, where the French put up a much better fight than expected, and the second map of Nuke is boudn to go down as one of the best maps of the year.
Ultimately, though, that series was decided by PR. The new MOUZ signing went nuclear on Inferno, recording a 2.06 rating to send MOUZ back to the top four spot they have become so accustomed to over the last year and a half.

Day two began with FaZe vs The MongolZ, which was perhaps the hardest game of all to call before a bullet had been fired.
A 2-1 victory for FaZe, their loan signing JBOEN didn’t disappoint. He went 56-41 across the three maps, as jcobbb also impressed to send FaZe through.
The quarter-finals ended on paiN vs Astralis, an unexpected banger that went all three maps as paiN clutched up on Nuke before Astralis sealed the series on Inferno and Mirage thanks to overtimes in both and 57 kills from Staehr across the two map wins.

All times in CEST.
