He's only been a part of BIG for five months, but rigoN hasx been benched by the German organisation following their 0-3 exit from the Perfect World Shanghai Major Elimination Stage.
rigoN, who joined after Guild Eagles disbanded, had previously spent two years as part of the Guild Eagles/Bad News Eagles team and c0ntact Gaming before them.
His best result with BIG came at ESL Challenger Atlanta, finishing in second after a 2-1 loss to FlyQuest in the final.
rigoN's time with BIG didn't begin as he would've liked, the team first failed to advance from BLAST Premier Fall Groups and were then eliminated in the Play-in Stage of BIG's home event, IEM Cologne, a week later.
The remainder of his time on BIG was largely uninspiring, with just one playoff appearance at ESL Pro League Season 20 and a 0.96 rating during his time on BIG.
However, the team did make the final Major of the year, going 3-0 in their RMR group. They later advanced to the Elimination Stage, but were eliminated from that stage in last place with a 0-3 record.
In a statement on Twitter, rigoN said:
"After an intense and unforgettable journey, its time for me to say goodbye. This chapter has been filled with ups and downs that have shaped me not only as a player but also as a person.
Together we gave it our all, but unfortunately, things didn’t work out as I had envisioned.
I am grateful for the incredible moments, the support from the team and the fans, and the opportunity to be part of this. My journey continues and its the start of something greater.
I will be back better, more sharp, and ready to show what im truly capable of." -rigoN, via Twitter
