The four BLAST Rising tournaments are now underway and we already have our first champions.
Astralis now have bragging rights over their European competitors, taking the tournament after a confident showing throughout.
They will now make an appearance in BLAST open Lisbon, where they will face off against 12 of the best teams in the world and the three remaining BLAST Rising winners.
Astralis opened their accounts in BLAST Rising with a 2-0 win over 9INE. Played out on Train and Inferno, it was an incredibly close series that needed a vintage device performance in order for the Danes to grab the win.
That, and a crazy 28-26 game on Inferno in which the AWPer got 52 of his 74 kills.
Astralis then clinched another hard fought victory against Bulgarian team 500, with both Ancient and Nuke ending 13-11.
A much more balanced kill share from them, it was stavn who topped the scoreboard with 42, closely followed by jabbi on 40.
The final was played against PARIVISION, who have been on an incredibly impressive run since the signings of Jame, nota, and TRAVIS.
The only series in which Astralis would drop a map, they fell 13-11 on Inferno, but got the win thanks to a 13-6 on Dust2 and a 13-10 on Ancient.
Astralis will now appear in BLAST Open Lisbon, which is set to begin on March 19th.
