We're coming up to the end of 2024 and although we have one event left to go, BLAST Premier World Final 2024, it's worth keeping one eye fixed upon the exciting BLAST 2025 calendar.
We'll be starting off the year with the first ever BLAST Bounty, a tournament that will take place in our studios in Copenhagen, but that will quickly be followed by BLAST Open Lisbon - your first opportunity to see some tier one BLAST action live.
Set to take place in Portugal's beautiful capital in March, tickets will be available very, very soon - and here's how you can make sure you get your hands on them.
BLAST Open Lisbon will take place in March 2025 and will be split into two stages.
The first stage will take place in the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, where two groups of eight teams will battle it out in a double-elimination bracket to decide the six teams that will advance to playoffs.
After a short break, those teams will then make their way to Lisbon, where they will again do battle to see who will become the first ever BLAST Open champions.
There will be two windows for you to get hold of tickets for BLAST Open Lisbon, the pre-sale and the general sale.
If you want to be a part of that pre-sale, the registration window is open now and the pre-sale itself goes live for all BLAST.tv users at 10am CET on November 4th 2024. Registered users will receive their link to buy tickets via email on Monday morning.
If for some reason you're not signed up to BLAST.tv, don't worry, as it couldn't be easier to do so. Follow this link (blast.tv/register) and sign up in a flash.
The general sale will go live at 10am CET on November 6th 2024.
BLAST Open is one of three exciting new tournament formats coming to BLAST in 2025.
16 teams will enter a LAN group stage at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen. They'll be split into two groups where they will then play out a BO3 double-elimination bracket to see which six teams will get a chance to get their hands on a trophy in the playoff stage.
The playoff stage will see the teams flown to a new venue where they will then play out a single-elimination bracket, with BO3s for the quarter and semi-finals, and a BO5 grand final.
12 of the teams in attendance will be decided by the Valve Global Ranking, and the remaining four will earn their chance to play at the event through competing in regional qualifiers, known as BLAST Rising.
There will be four of these BLAST Rising events, with EU, NA, SA, and Asian teams all getting an opportunity to rise above the other teams within their respective regions and compete among the big boys.
