World final lineup complete: Cloud9 qualify

BLAST Premier Fall Final may have just come to an end, but now it's time to look ahead to our next tournament, BLAST Premier World Final and the leaderboard.

At the start of last week we only knew seven of the eight teams in attendance.

Now that Fall Final is over, we can finally complete the lineup for the event with the addition of Cloud9.

How Cloud9 qualified

Going into Fall Final, four of the teams in attendance could have still qualified for World Final.

Astralis were in pole position to do so, thanks to their spot in 7th place on the BLAST world leaderboard, although their 7th-8th place elimination from Fall Final quickly saw their chances fade.

As for NIP and Complexity, both teams would have needed to win the event to qualify, and although Complexity made it to the semi-finals, the event probably came too soon for NIP's new roster.

With Astralis out of their way and Complexity falling in the semi-finals, Cloud9's semi-final appearance meant they had gained enough points to leapfrog the Danish squad and secure their spot at the World Final.

An impressive feat, considering they missed out on the BLAST.tv Paris Major, Cloud9 gained their points by some deep runs at other points in the year.

Reaching the final of ESL Pro League Season 17 was a big help, as was their 5th-6th placing at IEM Cologne. Winning two BLAST Premier Showdowns this year also played a huge factor.

BLAST Premier World Final is the final big event of 2023. It's been one of the most iconic years in the history of Counter-Strike, and we can't wait to send it off with a bang.

The event is set to take place in Abu Dhabi from December 13th to December 17th for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
