Vitality have secured their place at BLAST Premier World Final 2024 after winning in the Cathedral of Counter-Strike at IEM Cologne 2024.
The current BLAST World champions also took home $400,000 for their efforts, an amount that will surely be a nice bonus after their so-far trophyless year.
Thanks to their win, they will now join BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut and IEM Katowice 2024 winners Spirit, as well as PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 winners NAVI at the event.
Before their win, 2024 had been harsh to Vitality when they had reached grand finals.
Having already played in two this year, they lost the first to MOUZ 3-0 at ESL Pro League Season 19 and the second 2-1 to G2 at IEM Dallas despite their opponents playing with Stewie2k as a stand-in.
Their run in Cologne was dominant, they lost just two maps (one to FaZe and one to NAVI) on their way to lifting the trophy.

Vitality's next event will be ESL Pro League Season 20, where they will look to turn a second-placed finish into another trophy win.
After that they will head to Copenhagen and look to defend their crown at BLAST Premier Fall Final, with the event set to kick off on September 25th.
