Vitality may have had the hometown favourite, but boos were ringing out in the OVO Wembley Arena as Spirit's Anubis T side backed the BLAST.tv Paris Major winners into a corner.
Spirit won the crowd over with their antics, so how did they become the first finalists here at BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut?
Vitality kicked off the series with a dominant CT side. The team raced to a 5-0 lead, partially thanks to flameZ's crazy spray transfer on the A site.
Spirit eventually got into the game, but it took two clean Deagles headshots from chopper for them to do so.
Vitality were quick to make sure that Spirit weren't allowed any momentum though, ZywOo battered the Spirit offence on the A site.
Then it was mezii's turn, he clutched up on the B site to extend Vitality's lead.
But magixx cut the run short with a great 1v2.
That play gave Spirit the energy to fight back, but at 12-11 Vitality triple entried to secure themselves an advantage in the series.
Spirit may have won map two, but flameZ gave his team a strong start with a pistol 1v3.
However, their lead didn't last long. The game was flipped on it's head after donk hit this crazy one Deag on mezii in a 1v1.
The young gun ended the map with a 20-16 statline, helping his team to a 13-9 win.
Vitality kicked off Anubis with a 7-5 T side, but it was Spirit's T side that proved to be the decider as they ran Vitality out of the stadium.
You could tell that would be the case early on, Spirit hit some crazy shots on the second pistol round.
Vitality managed a few more rounds but they soon learned that sometimes you just can't stop the chop.
