Team Vitality outclassed NAVI in two maps to book their spot in the BLAST Premier World Final.

mezii pulled off a sensational 1v3 to seal an indomitable semi-finals win for Vitality.

There were spells of impressive play from NAVI, but those spells were fleeting and Vitality were inevitable.

"I'm proud of the boys, we fought really hard. It's a really good feeling to finish on a high note," apEX told BLAST.tv.

A dominant showing

Vitality have forged a reputation as an extremely strong Anubis team, and they proved once more why that reputation exists.

They consistently found holes in the A site defence to earn themselves eight rounds on the T side, despite not always finding the initial kill.

Aleksib's triple won the pistol round, but he was immediately brought back down to Earth as Vitality overran the B site to equalise.

mezii had a few issues early on towards A, but once he got rolling he was unstoppable. A clean double entry on a fast hit earned Vitality an anti-eco round, where mezii tapped two from the canal, with a kill on w0nderful sandwiched between.

apEX was in his pocket as well, calling a masterful T side and finding a barrage of kills all over the map. He and ZywOo teamed up constantly to smash NAVI to pieces.

"We're putting in more work on the T side, and I'm calling for more aggressive play as well," the IGL explained. "We have the right balance of players right now for everyone to shine at some point."

There wasn't loads of pushback, but when it did come it largely came in the form of b1t. NAVI's only T round came off the back of a delicious double from him as he broke onto the B site.

Vitality, though, cruised through the rest of the half to close it out 13-5.

Championship credentials

Aleksib once more kicked off the game with some pistol magic, stealing ZywOo's Dual Berettas before winning the clutch to kickstart NAVI.

It felt like Vitality might once more cancel it out when apEX one-Deaged jL and flameZ added a second, but NAVI scraped through on B to deny, and converted all the way to a 4-0 lead when Aleksi sprinted into B to kill both.

w0nderful entried onto B to kick off round six, and executed mezii while full blind a round later to give NAVI a blinding start - and a 6-1 lead.

Things nearly went from bad to worse when iM spun around to one tap a fourth in the midst of what would have been one of the clips of the year, but ZywOo spared Vitality's blushes and bagged them a second round.

Slowly, Vitality were waking up. A nade eviscerated jL cleanly from 100HP in a string of Vitality rounds - and before NAVI could blink, it was even at the half.

Vitality had won five in a row, and showed no signs of stopping. They took a pistol round and a conversion, before a string of bomb defends got them another three. flameZ and Spinx won an unlikely 2v3 on low HP to put Vitality up 11-6.

The streak was finally broken in round 18, and NAVI swept away three in quick succession to follow up, before clambering up to nine rounds.

mezii then broke their hearts.

b1t gave up his position on the site as mezii smoked off the two rotaters, and the Englishman executed the repositioning b1t. mezii stuck the bomb and as the smoke faded, ripped off two heads and ripped out NAVI hearts.

apEX was delighted, as one might imagine, jumping out of his chair to congratulate his new teammate.

"He was 27HP, I told him to plant the bomb for the money! We have buy rounds after and I needed money. He planted the bomb, and he listened to me because he's a really good teammate, and then he won the 1v2 so, I was really proud of him."

Vitality closed out the game one round later, and move on to face FaZe tomorrow.
