Stewie2k makes sensational return to Counter-Strike with Legacy

Stewie2k is one of the most legendary players in Counter-Strike history. He won NA's only CS:GO Major with Cloud9 and was also a key part of the Liquid team who won the Intel Grand Slam in 2019.

However, his last team in Counter-Strike, Evil Geniuses, was a ill-fated match, and he has since taken an extended break from competitive play and even gone to the forbidden land - VALORANT.

If life has taught us anything it's to never say never and clearly Stewie2k thinks the same as he has now joined Brazilian team Legacy as a stand-in.

The smoke criminal returns

Although only as a stand-in, the arrival of Stewie2k represents a huge change for the Brazilian side.

Previously full Brazilian, they will presumably now be communicating in English to make room for their NA star.

Stewie2k's roles on the team are also unclear. He was once a good AWPer, although he only ever did so as a secondary. He also also been an IGL in the past.

coldzera, the man he is replacing, previously filled both of these roles for Legacy, although there are other players on the team capable of doing so.

The team has just played in the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 where they were eliminated in the Opening Stage with a 2-3 record having pulled off a huge upset win against FURIA in the opening round.
