Legendary stand-in: Stewie2k to play in place of HooXi for G2 at IEM Dallas
Legendary NA CS figure Stewie2k will be standing in for G2 at IEM Dallas 2024, the organisation has announced.
The announcement follows an initial report by dust2.us.
Despite that report stating that HooXi would be missing the event due to a 'personal conflict', fans were quick to criticise the Danish IGL for being unavailable. As it turns out, he will be missing the event due to his sister's wedding.
Major winning stand-in
The event will mark Stewie's second stand-in appearance in as many months. He recently made a comeback to the competitive scene to play for Legacy after coldzera left the roster.
NA fans will be thrilled to see one of their most iconic players return, especially because of how his time with Evil Geniuses ended.
There's no telling what level the ELEAGUE Boston Major winner will be able to bring, but G2 are sure to be boosted by the home advantage when the tournament kicks off on May 27th.
