Metizport win 13 rounds in a row to secure 2-0 win over Monte
Metizport have been one of the surprise packages of BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 so far thanks to their opening victory against Falcons and they've continued that run with a win over Monte.
A 2-0 victory that saw them go on a 13-round winning streak on map two, Metizport proved why they are one of the most exciting teams in the world right now on their way to booking a place in the semi-finals.
Metizport start strong with Vertigo win
Metizport started off strongly with a 4-0 T side lead. Monte looked to be getting their first round on the board in round five though, but Jackinho shut down the retake attempt with a quick 3k.
Monte tried to fight back, but you can see how well it was going for them by this reaction from their AWPer woro2k.
By 10-4, Metizport were incredibly confident, and ztr continued his side's dominance with a nade kill early on in round 15.
The map ended 13-7, with big thanks going to ztr and adamb and their combined 43 kills.
Metizport blitz Mirage
Monte started strong on Mirage with a 5-0 lead but it fell apart very quickly. Nothing sums it up better than ztr sticking this defuse too.
And yes, it was this close.
Monte almost got their way back into the game at 7-5 down, but susp clutched up in the second half pistol round to keep Metizport's streak going.
The Ukrainians had another chance to get back on the board at 9-5, but this time it was adamb to the rescue.
Mirage ended 13-5 as Metizport continued their round-winning streak to the end. A strong performance by every Swede, nilo top-fragged with 18 kills.
