After five days of exciting action, we have a winner at BLAST Premier Spring Final.
It took all three maps, but Heroic finally broke their curse in finals here in Washington, defeating the reigning Major champions, Vitality.
A cracking game between the two best teams in the world, let's see how Heroic won their first tournament of 2023.
Vertigo has been a solid map of late for Vitality, characterised by ZywOo opting to rifle instead of using his preferred AWP, their CT side is unique compared to every other top team.
Usually a strong point of their game, it backfired this time, ZywOo struggled with 10 kills and the knock-on left Magisk with too much to deal with as he only mustered 8.
All of Heroic finished with positive KDs, but it was jabbi who top fragged and had the starring moment as a Desert Eagle 4k crushed the Vitality defence.
With a 9-6 T half into a 7-3 CT side, Heroic picked up map one with ease.
Top teams are the best at shaking off defeats, as seen by Vitality coming back from their opening day drubbing my Imperial. They did so again in the final, winning Mirage 16-10.
All of Heroic struggled, while no one on Vitality faced similar difficulties to those they had on Vertigo.
dupreeh was exceptional, as was Spinx, and both ZywOo and Magisk turned around their poor performances to help put the hurt on Heroic going into map three.
ZywOo had his best map of the final in map three, although his 21 kills wasn't enough to earn Vitality their third title in a row.
Another game in which every Heroic player went positive, jabbi was once again the star with a 22-12 individual statline.
Vitality's CT side might have been dominant against G2, but they massively struggled against Heroic, who converted their 8-7 CT side into an 8-2 T side for the victory.
cadiaN was clearly overjoyed with the win, he jumped up on his desk to celebrate a well-deserved victory.
