We're now less than two weeks away from BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024.
The event, which will be held in London between June 12th-16th will mark the first tier one CS2 event to be played upon the shores of Great Britain.
A momentous occasion requires some banger games, so let's take a look at the first round of matches that will be coming your way.
But first, let's look at the two groups our teams have been placed into.
In the run-up to Spring Final, Hugo has told us that he views FaZe to be the favourite to take home the Spring Final 2024 crown, but he was also quick to not count out Astralis.
"Astralis are also looking like they’re in form to win tournaments but still have to prove it" - Hugo
The group will also contain the Major champions NAVI, who will be looking to overcome a difficult run of form since claiming the first Major of CS2 in Copenhagen.
Rounding out the group is SAW, who despite being vast underdogs should not be underestimated by the big boys at the event.
THE TEAMS | HOW THEY QUALIFIED |
FAZE | SPRING GROUPS WINNER |
ASTRALIS | SPRING GROUPS PLAY-IN WINNER |
NAVI | SPRING GROUPS WINNER |
SAW | SPRING SHOWDOWN WINNER |
Hugo said that the "FaZe vs Spirit matchup is spicy" but the Russian team will first have to overcome the wealth of talent in Group B if they are to face karrigan and Co.
To do that, they'll first have to come G2, who will always be a scary prospect thanks to the presence of demonic aimers like NiKo and m0NESY.
Elsewhere Vitality will look to prove while they are still a force to be reckoned with, and Virtus.pro and their methodical playstyle will look to grind their way into the OVO Wembley Arena.
THE TEAMS | HOW THEY QUALIFIED |
SPIRIT | SPRING SHOWDOWN WINNER |
VIRTUS.PRO | SPRING GROUPS WINNER |
VITALITY | SPRING GROUPS WINNER |
G2 | SPRING GROUPS PLAY-IN WINNER |
Now let's take a look at the opening matches for Spring Final 2024.
The pick of the bunch is Astralis vs NAVI. The Danes have been in fine form since device took over the captaincy, but Aleksib and NAVI will be keen to put an end to their post-Major slump in London.
In Group B we'll see the two Russian prodigies donk and m0NESY face off - but who will come out on top: the AWPer, or the rifler?
FAZE VS SAW | 13:00 CEST |
NAVI VS ASTRALIS | 15:30 CEST |
VITALITY VS VIRTUS.PRO | 18:00 CEST |
SPIRIT VS G2 | 20:30 CEST |
We can't wait for the action to start, but a word of warning to any of our fans who may be travelling to the event: when the English fans start chanting "It's coming home" everytime mezii gets a kill, just go with it.
