Spirit were one of the favourites coming into BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 so it's no surprise that they have become the first team to confirm a place at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024.
The winners of BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut did so following a competitive game against Complexity in which they had to come back from losing the opening map.
Spirit got off to a good start on Dust2 with the game 3-1 in their favour after the first four rounds, but floppy was on hand on the B site to pull one back for Complexity.
7-5 to Spirit at the half, donk extended that lead with some great work with the dualies in second half pistol.
All tied up at 9-9, the 17-year-old shone again as he picked up three from a near-impossible position.
donk wasn't the only aggro rifler putting his mark on the game, however, EliGE secured Complexity's 11th as he carved open the A site.
Now in OT and with limited time left in the opening round, JT opted to face and fight zont1x rather than plant the bomb.
Complexity looked to have the map wrapped up after jut one overtime, but sh1ro was on hand to push us to a second.
The second OT was far less competitive, the map ended 19-16 to
Complexity despite sh1ro and donk combining for 67 kills.
Despite Spirit's comfortable 13-6 win in map two, it was Complexity who opened the map with a T side pistol win.
Unfortunately for the Americans they failed to convert that pistol win, Spirit managed to win their full eco with a smoke defuse.
Complexity didn't let that loss effect them in the early rounds, keeping it close and remaining just a single round down.
They even tied the score thanks to floppy's double entry on B.
However, that was the last round Complexity won in the first half and the second didn't get much better. They managed just two CT rounds as magixx and sh1ro combined for 17 kills to send us to a third map.
Nuke opened just as Anubis did, Complexity won the opening round before losing the second, this time thanks to sh1ro's last second hero play.
Things went from bad to worse for Complexity in round six, just look at this JT whiff down on B.
It wasn't all bad though, hallzerk and JT combined for a clean retake on round nine.
In fact, it was going quite well and the NA side earned themselves a 10-6 advantage. They looked set to make it 11-6 too until chopper arrived on the scene.
That round really turned the tide in the match, not just allowing Spirit to tie the game but also to take a one round advantage at 11-10.
Spirit then picked up match point as sh1ro clutched up in another 1v1.
13-10 when all was said and done, sh1ro's 18 kills proved to have massive impact to help Spirit qualify for Fall Final.
