With NAVI securing a semi-final berth earlier on in the day, the second semi-finalist at BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut would be decided by a game between two giants, Spirit and Virtus.pro.
In a game dominated by the IEM Katowice winners, they almost allowed their Major-winning opponents a route back into the series, but they held on to take the series 2-0.
Virtus.pro raced to a 3-0 lead but Spirit quickly levelled the scores as donk opened up map one with a 9-3 K/D.
However, it was sh1ro who actually gave Spirit a lead in the game thanks to this impressive 1v3 post-plant.
donk continued strong, he ended up as the top fragger as Spirit crushed Virtus.pro with a 13-4 scoreline.
Of course, donk would carry on that form into the opening exchanges of Dust II, powering through Virtus.pro as they attempted to take mid control.
7-5 at the half, chopper pulled off the play of the half as he miraculously dodged the fires that were rained down upon him to get a quick two kills.
Spirit didn't make it easy for themselves, but their captain almost pulled off one of the moments of the tournament with this near-clutch on the B site.
However, they would eventually get the job done, taking the map 13-11 and securing the series without any need for an overtime.
