Brazilian prodigy skullz has left paiN Gaming ahead of a reported switch to Team Liquid.
Originally reported by Dust2.br, Brazilian rivals Fluxo had also been interested in signing the 21-year-old but backed off after the interest from Team Liquid.
skullz is set to be a big part of the rebuild Liquid are currently undergoing.
skullz made his breakthrough after joining paiN in August 2022. Since then he has become a big star for the team, racking up an impressive 1.16 HLTV rating in 2023.
A key part of the team that went on impressive runs at ESL Pro League Season 17 and qualified for the BLAST.tv Paris Major, he has since faded into the background after Brazilian roster shuffles left paiN severely weakened.
With a reported $600k price tag, skullz represents a huge commitment to the future for Team Liquid. They will be hoping he can become one of the world's best players in CS2.
The organisation turned their focus to skullz after being rebuffed by FURIA's KSCERATO.
Although there is no timeline on when a move to Liquid may come to pass, he will reportedly also be joined by Twistzz, cadiaN, and legendary coach zews.
