BLAST Premier Fall Showdown might be just days away, but we have team news to bring you as Team Liquid will be benching Bulgarian Rainwaker for the event.
The 22-year-old, who only joined Liquid back in June alongside Patsi, has been disappointing since his move from 500 and recorded a mere 0.96 HLTV Rating in the three months since his acquisition.
The lowest-rated player on the team, they have struggled for solid results as they failed to qualify from BLAST Premier Fall Groups, failed to advance from the IEM Cologne Play-in, were knocked out in the first round of Gamers8, and most recently failed to qualify from the Group Stage at ESL Pro League.
Playing in his place will be the team's current coach, daps. The Canadian former IGL will assume the role of leader from YEKINDAR, allowing the Latvian to return to being a dedicated star.
While the change will be in place for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, a report from dust2.us claims that it may not be final. They say that Rainwaker has "not been cut" and that "Liquid is currently evaluating their options, roles, and configuration within the team".
BLAST Premier Fall Showdown is set to begin on October 4th. Liquid, who will be playing in the Americas Showdown, are set to kick off its campaign on October 5th with a game against Ace Masters winners Forsaken.
A new NA team, Forsaken includes former Liquid IGL stanislaw as their captain.
