NAVI and FaZe have already built up a fierce rivalry in the early stages of CS2 and that rivalry continued at BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut as NAVI got revenge for their Pro League exit with a 2-1 win.
NAVI started brightest on Dust II with a pistol round win, but FaZe responded instantly with a force-buy on their CT side.
That round gave FaZe the confidence to find a few more in the early exchanges, but jL soon reminded them why he is a Major MVP.
And of course, he had to let the camera know how he felt about that round.
NAVI quickly had the game in a stranglehold, and star riflers iM, b1t, and jL quickly earned them map point to put them within touching distance of closing out the game 13-5.
FaZe came into map two hard, quickly running away with a 7-0 lead. However, w0nderful wasn't going to let it get too out hand, he picked up all three kills in a 2v3 with his captain, Aleksib.
The clutch wouldn't be able to give NAVI the momentum they needed though, and ropz almost hit an ace to secure map point at 11-6.
The game ended just a few rounds later at 13-9, with ropz and rain sitting pretty at the top of the scoreboard with 19 kills apiece.
FaZe built up another quick 7-0 lead on Mirage, but NAVI didn't make it as easy as it would seem.
Well, except maybe this broky ace.
That ace ended up being the turning point in the match, however, and iM told us that Aleksib had some wise words for his team after that round:
From there, NAVI fought back to make it 7-5 and almost won the second half pistol thanks to jL, but frozen was on hand to keep FaZe's lead secure.
However, despite that pistol win, NAVI kept going to pull off their comeback and were all smiles for the duration. b1t even had some loving words for Aleksib after an especially strong round.
13-10 in favour of NAVI, FaZe were dejected with the result, but iM was in particularly good spirits:
"It's going to be very good, I heard there will be a lot of Romanians in the arena so I'm glad that I will be there for them." - iM
