With Counter-Strike 2 now released and BLAST Premier Fall Showdown over, BLAST's time as a tournament organiser for Counter-Strike Global Offensive is now concluded.
We've had a fantastic time bringing you exciting Counter-Strike action for the past six years, especially since the beginning of BLAST Premier in 2020.
Before we move on to our next chapter in Counter-Strike 2, it's time to look back at our BLAST Premier events and at the most successful in the eyes of the people we couldn't do any of it without you; the viewer.
Using data collated by Esports Charts, and in ascending order of hours watched, let's take a look at the five most viewed BLAST Premier events of all time.
12,635,114 hours watched
Kicking off our list is BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2021. The first event for us that year, it began what was the second year of BLAST Premier in CS:GO.
With 64 hours and 40 minutes of air time, it's the highest air time event on this list and is also the only event on the list to be a Groups, not a Final.
BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2021 had an average viewer count of 198,458 and 12,635,114 total hours watched.
The most viewed match at the event was played between FaZe and NAVI. As this list goes on, you'll begin to see some correlation between one of those teams and the most viewed game at an event.
12,804,165 hours watched
The fourth most viewed event in BLAST Premier history was Spring Finals 2022, which was won by NAVI. It was the only event won by NAVI that year following the departure of Boombl4 for sdy.
The most viewed match of the event was the Grand Final, a dominant 2-0 victory for the Ukrainian organisation against Vitality. The match peaked with 762,885 viewers.
For the remainder of the tournament, the average viewer count was 282,445 across 45 hours and 20 minutes of air time, totalling 12,804,165 total hours watched, a respectable length of time considering it is by far the shortest event on this list in terms of air time.
15,630,331 hours watched
The second LAN event for BLAST Premier following the return to offline play after the COVID-19 pandemic, BLAST Premier World Final 2021 comes in at number 3 on our list of the most watched BLAST Premier events.
Once again featuring NAVI in the most viewed match, the viewer count peaked during the Grand Final between NAVI and their Russian rivals Gambit at 727,376.
The final, which NAVI won, was part of their incredible run during 2021 that established them as one of the greatest teams of all time and also saw them become the first team to win a Major without winning a map at PGL Antwerp 2021.
Running for a total of 50 hours and 55 minutes of air time, it is coincidentally the third longest event on this list in terms of air time, and that led to a total of 306,979 average viewers across 15,630,331 total hours watched.
16,537,697 hours watched
The second online event to feature on our list of the most watched BLAST Premier events, BLAST Premier Global Final 2020, was also won by NAVI, way back when flamie was still part of their team.
As with every event prior, the most viewed game involved NAVI, but this time it came in the lower bracket final as they took on a still-French Vitality in a 2-1 victory. The game peaked with 687,691 viewers.
The event's total airtime was 52 hours and 10 minutes, making it the second-longest event on our list. With an average viewer count of 317,017, those viewers amassed a total of 16,537,697 hours watched across the event.
17,062,064 hours watched
The first BLAST Premier event to be on LAN following the online era, BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021, had a huge average viewer count of 338,432. Peaking with a game between NAVI and Vitality with 861,383 viewers, NAVI won that match 2-1 to claim the trophy.
At just 50 hours and 25 minutes of air time, it is the second shortest event on the list in terms of run time, which puts into perspective just how excited Counter-Strike fans were to see their beloved game return to LAN environments.
The hours watched count was also massive, totalling 17,062,064 hours watched, proving that fans were just as glued to their seats as we were when watching NAVI's dominance in 2021.
