fnatic have announced that their former in-game leader turned star rifler mezii has departed the organisation.
His transfer to Vitality is expected to be announced shortly as he was recently included in their roster for BLAST Premier Fall Final.
fnatic have endured a difficult couple of years, but mezii has been a shining light for the team following his arrival in August 2021.
mezii was first placed in the sights of tier one Counter-Strike fans following his addition to the Cloud9 Colossus lineup. Joining alongside es3tag, ALEX, w0xic, and floppy, he was impressive during his time with the ill-fated team.
Following the disbanding of that Cloud9 team, mezii briefly stepped back down to tier two with the UK's biggest Counter-Strike team, Endpoint.
It wasn't long before he was back in the big time though, fnatic picked him up just four months later to be a star player in one of their many rebuilds over the past few years.
Later taking up the mantle of IGL on fnatic, mezii led his squad to the quarter-finals of the IEM Rio Major where they were defeated by eventual champions Outsiders.
Now joining one of the World's elite teams in Vitality, mezii has been presented with a great opportunity to win big events in a stable roster.
