BLAST Premier Spring Groups is almost upon us, and sixteen teams are set to battle it out for their place at BLAST Premier Spring Final in London.
Five new teams will be joining our existing eleven member teams, with names such as Spirit, Falcons, and Cloud9 all joining in the BLAST Premier fun for 2024.
Sadly, though, the first name in that trio will have to play out the Groups without two of their key players, as visa issues will prevent them from taking part.
Those players, magixx and donk will be huge losses for Spirit at the event.
magixx is one of the longest-standing team members, having been part of the rosters that made it to the top eight at both the IEM Rio Major and the PGL Antwerp Major.
donk, who formerly played for the Spirit Academy, is one of the most exciting prospects in Counter-Strike. Promoted to the main team in July last year, the 16-year-old already has a LAN MVP to his name, awarded to him as Spirit came back from an 0-2 deficit to beat Virtus.pro 3-2 in the BetBoom Dacha final.
Replacing them will be hally and baz. baz is a current member of the Spirit Academy roster, while Hally has been the coach of Spirit since February 2022.
Set to face the new Team Liquid roster in their opening match at Spring Groups, we're excited to see how the AWPer handles his return to LAN action after his extended break.
Spirit's roster announcement isn't the only announcement in the last couple of days; we've also announced the talent list for Spring Groups next week.
With some exciting new faces in the ranks, check out the full talent list here.
