A Danish derby was set to decide which team would join NIP in being one of the first two eliminated, and somehow, the team with three stand-ins were the ones that prevailed.
Astralis will be bitterly disappointed by this defeat, especially given it was against their national rivals.
Just as in day one, it involved a substantial round-losing streak for Astralis, so let's look at how they were eliminated in more detail.
Astralis looked lively as the series began. 8-0 up on their T side, Buzz had this incredible clutch in round four to keep Heroic without a round win.
Staehr also looked strong, and this quick entry on round nine led us to believe that Astralis would be able to continue their flawless start to proceedings.
Instead, that was where it all started to go wrong.
Heroic bounced back, taking the last four rounds of their CT side to come in 8-4 down at the break.
They didn't stop there either. Heroic dominated the second half, winning nine rounds in a row as they closed out the map 13-8.
A team performance in that second half, sjuush top fragged the half with 10 kills to take his total in the game to 19.
Heroic continued their round-winning streak in the opening exchanges of Overpass as they raced to a 4-0 lead.
Astralis responded well with four rounds of their own, but this B site hold from sjuush swung the map back in Heroic's favour.
The start of another four-round run from Heroic, they closed out the half with an 8-4 lead.
Overpass has been CT-sided so far this event, and that was no different in the second half. Astralis clawed back with an 8-4 half of their own and took the game to OT.
Sadly, that was the end of the line for Astralis as they fell 16-13.
Astralis have now been eliminated, while Heroic will have another chance to make the Royal Arena tomorrow.
