New leader found: GamerLegion sign ztr

Well, it didn’t take GamerLegion long to find their new IGL.

News only broke on Wednesday of the departure of Snax to G2, but 48 hours and one bait post later they have announced their new leader.

And of course, the new signing is very different to the one their fans were calling for.

Swedish Mastermind

Rounding out the young GamerLegion roster will be ztr, the 20-year-old Swede best known for his time with Metizport and Young Ninjas.

ztr was benched by Metizport in May after a very successful six months with the team that saw them surge up the HLTV rankings.

Playing alongside nilo and adamb, two of the hottest prospects in Sweden, ztr almost led his former team to BLAST Premier Spring Final Presented by Revolut, although they were defeated by Spirit in their final match in the Spring Showdown.

He joins one of the most exciting rosters in Counter-Strike, following on from the recent additions of FL4MUS, aNdu, and sl3nd. An incredibly young roster, their most experienced player is volt, who joined the team after iM left in the wake of GamerLegion’s underdog run at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.

GamerLegion will now have a few weeks to integrate their new leader's system into their game, ztr will debut at BLAST Premier Fall Groups at the end of the month.
