G2 have announced the signing of Guatemalan superstar malbsMd from North American team M80.
The signing has been expected to be completed in recent weeks following an initial report that broke during BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut.
He replaces nexa on the roster who was benched following the completion of the tournament in London.
The move marks an end to malbsMd's almost year-long stint with M80 after being one of the original signings the organisation made when they entered CS.
Although his international LAN experience has been limited in that time, he shone during ESL Pro League Season 19 as he ended his time in Malta with a 1.28 HLTV rating.
An exciting change for the team, the organisation will be hoping that he can add the extra firepower required for them to find consistency in results in the second half of the year.
G2 were heavily criticised during the first season of 2024, although they did win a trophy at IEM Dallas.
Fans won't have to wait too long to see malbsMd play for his new team, he will make his debut as the Esports World Cup which is set to kick off on July 17th.
