FaZe have been in incredible form ever since the release of CS2, but their run of grand finals is over and people are starting to wonder whether we're now in a FaZe dip.
Of course, with the team still reaching quarter-finals they're still a dangerous opponent, but how do the team themselves feel?
We spoke to rain about why he's unhappy with their year so far despite all the deep runs the team have had.
You'll be playing SAW in your opening game, are you looking at that as a favourable match or is there that underdog fear there?
I think we're coming in pretty confident. We should have a pretty chance of beating them, we're the favourites for sure. It's all about making sure we have a good start to the tournament as well as coming in hot and making sure it isn't too close.
As a team you were reaching the final of every event you attended for months on end but have failed to do so in your last two events, are you considering this a dip and are you looking to 'bounce back'?
Overall, our entire year has been a little disappointing in that sense. Even though we've been to a lot of finals, not winning them is what hurts the most, right?
The first loser is second place, so that's how we feel. We definitely want to have some revenge and end the season on a strong note here in London.
So you're feeling confident you can do so and lift another trophy?
Yeah, for sure. Every tournament we go to, we're always one of the favourites to win. With the players we have and the team we are, we can always beat anyone.
