FaZe clinch close game to prevent winning debut for Cloud9

With multiple new rosters making their debuts today at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, we were treated to the first of those as the new Cloud9 lineup took on FaZe in the opening game of the day.

Cloud9 started slowly but quickly grew into the game and ended up pushing FaZe to their limits in what proved to be a very promising debut.

rain dominates on Dust2

Dust2 started off very well for FaZe, they quickly raced to a 10-2 lead on their CT side.

rain got going very quickly, he picked up an ace on round three.

The Norwegian was indomitable and was 12-0 by round sseven, however, it was karrigan who impressed in that round with a crisp one-tap to shut down the C9 offence.

10-2 down Cloud9 woke up in the second half and ICY was on hand to show why the organisation has invested in him.

The AWPer picked up 23 kills on the match but it wasn't enough as rain outclassed him with 27 to push FaZe to a 13-10 map win.

Cloud9 comfortable on Inferno

FaZe were 11-1 on Inferno heading into map two but that didn't matter for much as Cloud9 looked comfortable in a 13-7 win.

Cloud9 got off to a good start with a 4-1 lead but the fear of ropz forced them to concede a second.

8-4 down at the half, broky managed to keep the score somewhat close as he stuck the defuse against ICY in round 16.

Sadly though, it mattered for little, and Cloud9 cleaned up at that point to take the map 13-7.

OT needed for Mirage

Mirage was close from the get-go and karrigan picked up the first highlight of the game as he clutched up in the 1v1.

7-5 in favour of FaZe at the half, Cloud9 fought hard to get back in front and lead 10-7.

With overtime in play Boombl4 came up big to keep his side in the game but it wasn't enough as FaZe closed out the series with a 16-14 win.
