With one team already booked for a semi-final showdown for a place at BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024, day four of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 was set to decide the remaining three teams who will contend for the final two places at the event in Copenhagen.
As a result we had three thrilling games, so let's jump straight into the action with Falcons vs Complexity.
Complexity started off strongest in the series, they secured Falcons' map pikc of Nuke, 13-6.
hallzerk was on fire in the first half, his fast flicks were a constant nuisance to Falcons' offense.
The AWPer ended the half with a 13-5 statline, helping to guide his team to a 9-3 lead and eventually closing out the map 19-8.
With Complexity then going into their very favourable Nuke pick everything was set for them to take the series 2-0, however, maden made sure that wouldn't be easy as he extended Falcons' lead with a 4k.
8-4 at the half, Falcons kept going strong, eventually forcing a decider as they took Vertigo 13-10.
Anubis didn't start strongly for Complexity, as shown by EliGE accidentally stabbing hallzerk in the back as they exited spawn on round four.
A comfortable win for Falcons in the end, they won 13-5 thanks to 20 from SunPayus.
We headed to Anubis yet again for map one of FaZe vs paiN and frozen and broky were in fine form in the first half. They combined for 26 frags to give FaZe an 8-4 lead at the half.
They carried on in the second half too, extending their combined kills to 39 as FaZe closed out the map 13-5.
Inferno started off far better for paiN, biguzera had an incredible opening pistol round to give the Brazilians an early advantage.
The paiN captain kept fragging too, picking up another four in defence of his B bombsite on round eight.
And the highlights kept coming for paiN, just one round later snow hit this absurd shot.
6-6 at the half, paiN were rampant again at the start of the second half to build up a 10-6 lead, but some handy teamwork from FaZe pulled them right back into the game.
With the map slipping away at 11-10 to paiN, frozen came up big to tie the score 11-11.
Both teams played their hearts' out as the game went to overtime, but eventually it was kauez who managed to close it out 16-14 for paiN.
Map three was nowhere near as close, however, with FaZe once again taking charge to close out the series with a 13-5 win on Mirage.
It could have been closer, but broky came up clutch in round five to keep FaZe storming ahead.
8-4 at the half, FaZe kept the hurt on paiN, and ropz made sure to get a highlight of his own to end the map with haste.
Heading into map three we were treated to a close game from the offset, largely because of plays like this from JDC.
That round gave BIG the confidence to build up a lead, even in unlikely situations like this 2v5.
Still, it's hard to keep VP down, and electroNic managed to close out the pistol despite some chaotic fighting in CT.
Double OT beckoned, but eventually it was JDC with a huge play to sit VP down and give BIG the boost they needed to close out the map 19-1.
The second map, Mirage, was absolutely rapid by comparison to the first, rigoN disappearing into the shadows within his room sums up BIG's performance on the map.
The map ended 13-7, largely thanks to a combined 41 frags from FL1T and fame.
rigoN bounced back on map three, however, pushing the Tunnels on the opening round of Dust2 to give his team an early lead.
Then it was JDC's turn to get back in on the action, he fragged out on the B site to halt VP's site take.
8-4 in favour of BIG at the half, VP turned it around in the second half, closing out the map 13-10 as electroNic, Jame, and FL1T all picked up ten kills or more on their CT side.
