Despite a dominant first map against Complexity for FURIA, it was the NA side that secured their place in the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown final following two 16-14 maps against their adversaries.
Booking themselves a final match against their former NA rivals Liquid, it will be the first time that EliGE faces his former team since his move to Complexity in June.
Before that though, we have a game to recap, so let's take you through the action.
A typically strong map for Complexity, they immediately found themselves with their backs against the wall as FURIA picked up an 11-4 CT side.
As always, KSCERATO was the star for FURIA on their CT side, his 15-4 statline by the end of the half made him an immovable object in defence. He continued strong too, raising his kill count to 23 as the map ended 16-7.
EliGE tried his best for Complexity, with a 23-16 statline, he was by far the best on a Complexity side whose next highest fragger was Grim with 12.
Heading into CT side of Nuke, FURIA had a lot left to do after a 10-5 half from Complexity. EliGE had once again starred for Complexity in that first half, his 16 kills placed him at the top of the scoreboard, but he was at least helped by hallzerk and floppy this time around.
FURIA fought back hard on the CT side, but were twice caught out by Complexity forcebuys that included an incredible Scout 3k by EliGE and a last gasp defusal denial by floppy.
Their main issue on the CT side, however, was their former IGL, arT. Left to defend Ramp, his decisions to buy auto snipers cost the team greatly, and with very little effect, they nullified KSCERATO and yuurihs' 26 and 27 kills as Complexity took the map 16-14 thanks to 29 kills from hallzerk.
As so many series have been decider, the third map took us to Inferno. Starting out with a strong T side from FURIA, once again it was their star KSCERATO who shone brightest as he racked up 16 kills.
12-6 down following a three round burst from FURIA, Complexity had to dig deep in order to even level the score on their T side.
It wad floppy who showed his class in the end, 14 kills from him on the T side took his total to 23 as Complexity went on four and five round wins streaks to close it out 16-14.
