NAVI and Vitality round out qualified teams: Fall Groups day eleven recap

BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023 is now over, and with eleven days of exciting Counter-Strike action behind us, we now know the six teams that have qualified for BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023.

There's been twists, turns, chokes, and underdog victories in a thrilling time in Copenhagen, so for the last time, let's recap all the action on the final day.

Vitality don't allow for any more mistakes as they qualify against BIG

One of the favourites to qualify for Fall Final from the Group Stage, very few would have expected to see Vitality in the Gauntlet for their chance at playing in Fall Final.

Having suffered a shock defeat at the hands of NIP, Vitality would face off against BIG for qualification, a game in which they wouldn't let the same mistakes live to haunt them.

16-11 on the opening map of Anubis, BIG started strong, but they were powerless in the end as ZywOo collected 24 kills. mantuu responded with 25 of his own, topping the server, but the collective firepower of Vitality proved to outweigh that of the German team.

The two AWPers continued strong on Inferno. mantuu once again top fragged the server with 27 kills, beating ZywOo's total of 21, but just as with the first map, the combined strength of Vitality outclassed their opponents. 16-8 when all was said and done, Vitality's ruthlessness saw them achieve their goal of reaching Fall Final.

Disappointment continues for G2 as NAVI qualify over them

A strong debut for NAVI, on the flipside, G2 appeared to be in worrying form as they struggled in almost every game they played at Fall Groups. Having only reached their game against NAVI thanks to a choke from underdogs Evil Geniuses, they rounded out their time in Copenhagen with another poor team performance.

16-14 in the opening map of Inferno, the entire G2 side went negative as s1mple had his best map of the event so far with a 29-16 scoreline. Aided by the only other remaining Ukrainian member of the team, b1t, NAVI closed out the close game thanks to their stronger CT half.

Mirage was a similar story. Once again ending 16-14, it did at least feature 30 bombs from Bosnian duo NiKo and huNter- on the side of G2. Despite this, the stronger team performance of NAVI reigned supreme as jL, b1t, and s1mple combined for 72 kills.
