Falcons have announced the signing of five-time CS:GO Major winner dupreeh.
The move comes weeks after the benching of BOROS following a disappointing run at the PGL Major Copenhagen RMR which saw them fail to qualify for the first CS2 Major with a 1-3 record.
dupreeh joins from Preasy, a team he only joined in December after an extended stand-in period for Heroic with whom he played at both BLAST Premier Fall and World Finals.
dupreeh is one of the most decorated figures in Counter-Strike. He won his first Major with Astralis at the ELEAGUE Atlanta Major 2017 before winning three more consecutively at the FACEIT London Major 2018, IEM Katowice 2019, and StarLadder Berlin 2019.
He was also part of the Astralis team that won the inaugural season of the Intel Grand Slam in 2018.
The Dane added his fifth Major trophy with Vitality at the final CS:GO Major, the BLAST.tv Paris Major. However, he was replaced by flameZ on Vitality not long after lifting the trophy.
dupreeh's arrival on Falcons now gives the team a Danish core thanks to Snappi and Magisk being on the team. It is also the third time that dupreeh has linked up with Magisk and coach zonic after spending time together previously on both Astralis and Vitality.
Falcons have had mixed results since signing their squad in the wake of BLAST Premier World Final. They failed to qualify for BLAST Premier Spring Final and the PGL Major Copenhagen, although they did finish 3rd-4th at IEM Katowice 2024.
Their most recent event was BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, an event they played with s1mple. The event didn't go to plan, however, and they were eliminated in their opening fixture by defeated finalists Metizport.
dupreeh's debut for the team will be ESL Pro League Season 19, which is set to kick off on April 23rd.
