There's big news coming out of Finland this morning as ENCE have announced two changes to their active roster.
The changes see dycha and hades dropped to the bench in favour of podi and sdy. The former has been promoted from their academy and the latter has been signed from free agency after recently leaving Monte.
The moves come after a difficult spell for the organisation, during which they struggled at both the PGL Major Copenhagen and ESL Pro League Season 19.
hades benching marks the end of his second stint on the ENCE roster. He was previously benched in August 2022 when he was replaced by SunPayus.
To some fans, an unexpected moves, as hades had been the organisation's best-performing player in 2024 with a 1.13 HLTV rating.
dycha was the longest-standing member of the ENCE roster and the last man standing from the previous lineup after its capitulation at the end of 2023.
However, since the arrival of the former 9INE core following that capitulation, the team has struggled, and his benching was expected due to his 0.99 HLTV rating in 2024.
podi arrives with a lot of hype around him after being named as both NiKo and Nertz's bold prediction in the HLTV top 20 for 2023.
As for sdy, the Ukrainian has been out of action since departing Monte in February following their failure to qualify for the first CS2 Major.
