Knives are the creme de la creme of skins in Counter-Strike. They're flashy, often expensive, and although this is unproven, we're convinced they give you buffs in-game.
Seriously, your movement is better with a Karambit!11
Buying a knife in CS2 can be a huge financial outlay (be careful with that, by the way, and we advice not to spend money you don't have).
Still, it's no surprise that players want to ensure they get the best-looking knife skin on the market.
With that in mind, we've put together a CS2 knife tier list so you can see all the CS2 knives ranked and understand which knife will make you look like a baller and which knife will make you look like you have zero taste.
While tier lists are often done in letter form, with S being the highest and continuing down from A to F as the lowest, instead, we will rank all CS2 knives in order.
20. Gut Knife
Kicking off our knife tier list is the Gut Knife. Although it has a cool pull-out animation, the Gut Knife is ugly, and you're better off sticking with a default knife than spending money on one of these.
19. Falchion Knife
Just like the Gut Knife, the Falchion Knife is one of the ugliest knives in CS2. The worst of all flip-out knives, you should get one of the alternatives over a Falchion Knife.
18. Bowie Knife
The Bowie Knife was a difficult one for us to place in our CS2 knife tier list.
Bowie Knives are inherently cool, but that just doesn't transition in-game. It's too big, so much so that it looks borderline ridiculous, and there are just better options on offer.
17. Shadow Daggers
Although Shadow Daggers are now free of the viewmodel bug they experienced in CS:GO, they still appear low-ranked on our CS2 knife tier list.
Frankly, Shadow Daggers look silly, but it's at least cool that you get two knives for the price of one.
16. Flip Knife
The second flip-out knife we are ranking in CS2, the Flip Knife is a better alternative to the Falchion Knife.
However, this doesn't prevent the Flip Knife from being boring, so we don't recommend purchasing one either.
15. Nomad Knife
Another relatively boring flip-out knife, we don't even understand why Valve chose to add the Nomad Knife to the game considering the already-existing knives.
14. Navaja Knife
This may be a controversial take for our Counter-Strike knife tier list, but we're saying it anyway: The Navaja Knife is one of the best flip-out knife in CS2.
Great for players who prefer a classical look, the wooden handle offers something a little different to the other flip-out knives. That is why it's higher ranked than the others so far.
13. Classic Knife
Admittedly, the Classic Knife may be so high on our CS2 knife tier list because of its nostalgia factor.
In truth, the Classic Knife is a little bit boring, but it's at least better looking than all the knives that have come before it.
12. Hunstman Knife
The closest rival to the Bowie Knife, it's very telling that the Hunstman Knife is so much higher on our CS2 knife tier list.
The Hunstman Knife looks mean. It's big, but not too big like the Bowie Knife. Also, it looks incredibly deadly, and surely that's what you want from your knife.
11. Stiletto Knife
The final knife before we enter the top ten is the Stiletto Knife.
The Stiletto Knife is the best of all the flip-out knives, and really, it's just a better version of the Navaja Knife.
It's design is sleek, and it's incredibly unique compared to every other knife in the game.
10. Survival Knife
Kicking off the top ten in our CS2 knife tier list is the Survival Knife.
Half the reason it's this high up is its name, but we do think it looks cool too. However, it's a little bit too standard compared to the knives placed higher than it.
9. Ursus Knife
Although many people may place the Ursus Knife far lower, we think it's one of the best knives in CS2.
It has a wicked pull-out animation and it's entirely unique. Also, it's quite cheap compared to other knives in CS2, which is a big win in our opinion.
8. Bayonet
The first of two bayonets in our CS2 knife tier list, if we had made this list five years ago, it would have been far higher.
Sadly for the Bayonet though, cooler knives have been added in subsequent updates, so it finds itself at number eight.
7. M9 Bayonet
The best of the two Bayonets in CS2, the M9 Bayonet has suffered the same fate as the Bayonet.
Still a very cool knife, it used to be far cooler, but now it isn't.
6. Kukri Knife
Maybe it's because the Kukri Knife is so new, but we think it's one of the best knives in CS2.
It looks different to every other knife in the game, and it has some really nice animations too.
5. Paracord Knife
A very unique knife because of the string around the handle, the Paracord Knife is one of the best knives in CS2.
It's sleek, has cool animations, and like the Ursus Knife, it's one of the cheapest knives in the top ten CS2 knives.
4. Skeleton Knife
Continuing the top five in our CS2 knife tier list is the Skeleton Knife.
The Skeleton Knife has some of the best animations in the game and that would earn it its place in the top ten on its own. However, it's also one of the best-looking knives in the game, so with that in mind, it's earned its place in our top five.
3. Talon Knife
Heading into the top three on our CS2 knife tier list we have the Talon Knife.
The baby brother of the Karambit, the Talon Knife ticks all the same boxes, but it just doesn't have the aura that comes with a Karambit.
2. Butterfly Knife
The runner-up in our CS2 knife tier list is the Butterfly Knife. One of the most iconic knives in Counter-Strike history, the Butterfly Knife remains one of the best.
Its pull-out animation is cool, its inspect animation is cool, and it's entirely unique compared to all other knives in CS2.
We love the Butterfly Knife.
1. Karambit
So, unsurprisingly, the best knife in CS2 is the Karambit. Who would have guessed it?
The most iconic knife in Counter-Strike history, the Karambit is utterly gorgeous. It ticks every box that the Butterfly Knife does, but it does them all better.
It's fantastic.
