With Astralis eliminated early, Complexity and Cloud9 are the two sides battling for the final space at BLAST Premier World Final 2023.
That fight will continue as Complexity took down NAVI in a thrilling three-map series to book their spot in the semi-finals at BLAST Premier Fall Final.
Complexity struggled against Vitality on Anubis, and while they fared better against NAVI, the international squad capitalised on that weakness to go 1-0 in the series with a 13-10 win.
b1t was the star of map one. His 20-15 statline meant he was the top fragger by the end of the 23 rounds played.
Complexity might think twice about letting Anubis slide in their semi-final match against FaZe, this round sums up the luck they've been having on the map perfectly.
It wasn't all doom and gloom for Complexity. However, floppy kept them alive with this quick-fire 3k in a 2v4.
Sadly, it wasn't enough for Complexity, and they fell 13-10.
Complexity were going to need to dig deep to get past NAVI, and that became even more so when NAVI opened Overpass with a CT pistol win.
Dig deep they did though, and following the pistol and conversion from NAVI, Complexity answered back with eight straight T side rounds that included this floppy clutch.
floppy was in top form in the first half, he joined EliGE and JT on ten kills apiece to take the half 9-3.
NAVI responded well through iM in the early rounds of the second half, the Romanian pulled off an impressive clutch of his own to keep his team in the game.
That was as good as it got though, and Complexity quickly wrangled back control to take the map 13-6.
With it all to play for on Nuke, Complexity drew first blood with a CT pistol win. They then converted round two, but that wasn't without this embarrassing moment for poor hallzerk.
NAVI then fought back with a four-round winning streak, and although he was playing well, EliGE didn't look best pleased with his team's turn in performance.
The desk slam seemed to help however, Complexity then won five rounds on the trot and EliGE closed out the CT half with a 16-6 statline as his team went in with a 7-5 lead.
The second half was a bloodbath, and this partial-buy round win for Complexity was a sign of things to come:
If losing to that buy wasn't tilting enough for NAVI, check out what floppy and hallzerk managed to pull off in a 2v5 just two round later:
EliGE was the star throughout, but his best moment of the game came when he got his 24th and 25th kills of the map in rapid succession:
On the other hand, hallzerk had been having a quiet series, but it was the Norwegian who came up clutch in the closing stages with two huge clutches for Complexity to close out the game 13-10.
Complexity will now face FaZe in the semi-finals, a rematch of the IEM Sydney final where FaZe were the victors.
