BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024 is just a few hours away, so what better way to start the day than by hearing from one of the new members of the talent team?
A one-time Danish Counter-Strike prodigy who is now an analytical wizard, we spoke to Bubzjki about why you should be excited for the first BLAST event of 2024, as well as the teams you should be looking out for.
Why are you excited for Spring Groups?
Classic but being back in the atmosphere and seeing all the hard work the teams have been working on whilst having a tournament-free period.
This is also a crucial tournament for some lesser teams, as they'll have to secure their points and placements early on in the year in order to not miss out on important ones later. Also, the new format will bring new faces into the circuit which is a welcome change
Who is the biggest favourite(s)?
The easy choice is Vitality, I still think they have all the tools to succeed in the same way we saw most of 2023. If I had to go out of the “obvious ones” I would have to look out for Spirit. Sadly the visa caused issues with the roster for this stage, but next time I'm sure they’ll sort it out.
Who is the biggest underdog?
Personally Heroic could be a contender, they’ve signed some solid players in the likes of kyxsan, nertz and nicoodoz.
That trio doesn’t sound bad, I think many people underestimate how good nicoodoz has been in tier two and three after leaving Fnatic, so it's a welcome sight back to T1 for him.
BLAST Premier Spring groups begin today at 12.00 CET and you can watch all the action here on BLAST.tv.
