The second Counter-Strike season of 2024 is about to get underway and that means the BLAST Premier calendar will continue at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024.
As usual, 16 teams will battle it out in groups of four to see who will be the six teams that advance straight to BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 without the need to run the gauntlet in the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024.
There have been plenty of changes in the run-up to Fall Groups, with some teams needing to undergo full rebuilds and others strengthening their rosters in their quest to be the best.
Read on to find out more about some of these exciting and unexpected changes.
Perhaps the biggest shock of all came from German organisation G2, who have reunited Snax and TaZ under the same banner for the first time since TaZ’s departure from Virtus.pro in 2018.
One of the biggest movers in the off-season was Liquid, the team had to make two changes after the benching of both cadiaN and skullz.
There’ll be plenty of intrigue around their roster at Fall Groups, especially because of the inclusion of relatively unknown Polish prospect, ultimate and Twistzz’s transition to IGLing.
No team made as many changes in the off-season as Cloud9, they’ve had to bring in three new players in what is a massive rebuild for the organisation.
interz returns to the team after leaving a year ago, while ICY and HeavyGod join to bring the firepower.
Another team making a firepower-based change is BIG. The German organisation has once again moved away from an all-German lineup in order to bring in rigoN.
There’s no changes for Astralis, the Danish team will be looking to build upon their strong form towards the end of the first season of 2024 at Fall Groups.
Likewise, Complexity have also chosen against making a change following their victory in their season-closer, ESL Challenger Jonkoping.
Falcons endured a difficult first half of the year but the arrival of veteran fragger dupreeh has massively lifted them, will they be able to turn their strong form into a Fall Final place?
OG faced a difficult task in the off-season as they were forced to replace their star man, HeavyGod. However, they chose a different route, freeing up k1to for fragging duties by adding Thomas to their roster.
On the flipside, the young guns of GamerLegion needed to search for a new leader after losing Snax to G2. The search didn’t last long, however, the BLAST.tv Paris Major grand finalist organisation has signed highly-rated Swedish IGL, ztr.
Vitality will be bitterly disappointed by their first half of the year, especially after missing a trophy in mezii’s home country at BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut.
However, the faith in the team is strong and they are unchanged coming into Fall Groups.
FaZe have enjoyed fantastic form thus far in CS2, although that form did dip slightly towards the end of the first season of 2024.
Now refreshed after their break, they will be one of the most dangerous prospects in Fall Groups.
HEROIC made their big change well before the end of the season, replacing nicoodoz with degster after an extended period out of the game for the AWPer.
PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 winners NAVI came close to another trophy at Spring Final, can they carry their strong form over the player break and book another BLAST Premier Final spot at Fall Groups?
NIP have been in stellar form ever since their recent rebuild and r1nkle has been a revelation on the AWP thus far.
They’ll still be considered an underdog at Fall Groups so can they pull off an upset?

Finally, we have the winners of Spring Final, Spirit. Spirit are one of the best teams in the world and will be playing Fall Groups with their full lineup after having to use two stand-ins at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024.
BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 is set to be played between July 29th 2024 and August 4th 2024.
Six teams out of 16 will advance directly to BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024, the four group winners and the two who qualify through last chance brackets.
The teams that fail to qualify will drop down into BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024, which will take place in August.
