BIG got off the to a rough start at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024 as they were demolished by Virtus.pro, but since then have looked impressive in wins over Cloud9 and Heroic.
As for VP, they haven't put a foot wrong all event, so how would the two teams fare in a rematch?
Let's get into it.
Virtus.pro are one of the best Overpass teams in the world, but that didn't stop BIG from getting off to a strong start.
Even on eco rounds they were firing on all cylinders, catching VP off-guard in a rare slip-up from the Russian team.
VP managed to pull the half back though, and the second half started stupendously well after whatever the hell this was from n0rb3r7.
The Major winner starred in the next round too as he saved his team to falling victim to an eco A rush.
prosus was the real star of the server though, and he fried on round fifteen to keep BIG ahead.
The rest of the game was frustrating for BIG, however, as VP changed their game to slow down rounds and frustrate the German squad. 13-10 in the end, BIG would have to win their own map pick to stay in the series.
Map two was a slow affair between two of the most tactical teams in the world, but we did get this sick flick from Jame.
fame also had a highlight round, somehow netting this kill after jumping away from Krimbo.
A simple game for VP in the end, they won map two 13-6 to book their place at Spring Final in London.
