After a thrilling game between Liquid and NAVI we wouldn't have minded a clean 2-0 in the following match but BIG and Virtus.pro provided us with anything but.
Another banger of a match, BIG's 2-1 victory rounded out another day of exceptional Counter-Strike as we bid goodbye to VP who will now fall down to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.
syrsoN has always loved Dust2 and he had a big performance on the map again as he got 21 kills in BIG's 13-11 win.
Despite the AWPers heroics it was his captain tabseN who had the first highlight play of the series, he mowed down three as VP attempted to take control of Long.
8-4 in favour of the Germans at the break, it wasn't long before the game was tied up at 10-10.
The game was still tied up two rounds later but even without vision JDC managed to secure map point for his team.
Mirage instantly switched momentum in VP's favour and although BIG won the pistol round VP followed it up with eight in a row to give themselves a comfortable 8-2 lead.
Once again 8-4 at the half, syrsoN had a large part to play in pulling a couple back for BIG.
VP were firing all on all cylinders and it wasn't long before they were 11-4 up but a JDC 3k kept BIG hanging on.
The Germans continued to fight but eventually fell 13-10. A real team performance from both teams, they would both need to dig deep in order to keep their Fall Final dreams alive on the final map.
BIG looked confident from round one with a solid 2v3 retake on the A site,
syrsoN then picked up another 3k a few rounds later to set BIG up for an 8-4 half.
The second half continued to be comfortable for BIG, they wrapped up the series with a 13-7 win thanks to JDC's 19 kills.
