Astralis have been in fine form since the signing of br0 and device taking up the role of captain, but they broke their semi-final curse in a way they wouldn't have hoped to after being eliminated by Virtus.pro in the semi-finals here at BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut.
After the game, we caught up with br0 to talk about the loss and what Astralis need to work on to lift trophies in the second half of the year.
A tough series for you, how are you feeling?
I'm not feeling great, I feel like on Inferno there were shots that I usually hit that I just wasn't. Maybe it was the pressure, the stage, I don't know.
I felt fine, but it was an unfortunate game.
It was still another playoff run, are you happy with how the season has gone since you have joined Astralis?
I can say I'm happy, but I wouldn't say I'm satisfied. We want to win like everyone else wants to, and we've failed at that. Hopefully, in the future, we will get some wins.
Do you think you still need adaptations to your structure? The IGL change is still very recent.
Not adaptation, but rather fixes to details that you experience in officials compared to practice. Time to do that has been lacking, but I think that's it.
Are you optimistic for the future and getting some wins in the rest of the year?
Indeed, indeed. I think we have one of the strongest teams in the world and the potential to be the best by far. We show class all the time, sometimes better than others, but I have high hopes.
