Sunward Island is one of the biggest locations added to Neverness to Everness (NTE) in the Version 1.1 update.
The area serves as a major setting for the new story content and introduces players to a city-funded resort where anomalies are rescued and cared for. Besides the main narrative, the island also features new commissions, Strange Tales, and several rewards to earn.
How to unlock Sunward Island in Neverness to Everness
To access Sunward Island, you need to advance through the Dreamwalk Corridor main questline. Most of the Version 1.1 story content takes place on the island, so unlocking it is tied directly to the main narrative.
Start by opening the quest menu and tracking the Dreamwalk Corridor quest. The objective will lead you to the Eibon Antique Store, where you need to meet several characters involved in the story.
Use the nearest ReroRero Phone Booth to travel quickly to the location. Once you arrive, head to the second floor of the building and enter the first room on the right side.
Inside, you will find Nanally, Sakiri, Adler, and Edgar. Speak with them and continue through the conversation sequence. During the discussion, Taygedo brings up an invitation ticket to Sunward Resort, which is where anomalies are kept and studied.
After the dialogue ends, travel to the Illusion Town dockyard and speak with the Ticket Inspector. Complete the conversation and board the ferry. A cutscene will then play, taking you directly to Sunward Island.
The entire unlocking process usually takes less than 10 minutes if you focus only on the main objective.

Unlike many other locations in Neverness to Everness, Sunward Island is not connected to the mainland through direct roads. Because of this, you will need to use a ferry or another form of water transport to travel there.
Once you arrive, it is a good idea to unlock nearby ReroRero Phone Booth locations. These fast travel points make it much easier to move around the island and return later without repeating the ferry trip.
