Escape From Tarkov 1.0- How To Get A Free Container

A Tarkov player is always suffering. You are either permanently dying in an endless losing streak, or you are surviving so much that you are running out of stash space.

While we have no solution for your first problem, we can help with the second one in Escape From Tarkov 1.0. Here's how to get a free container which takes very little space and can hold a ton of items.

How To Get A Free Container In Escape From Tarkov 1.0

We're not exactly sure how long this campaign will go on for, but at the time of writing and since Escape From Tarkov 1.0 update has come out, BSG has partnered with Discord to give players a valuable, free container.

It is a container called Toolbox and is acquired by following these steps:

1. Head to Profile - Escape from Tarkov, log into your account, and head into your account settings by pressing the cogwheel under the dropdown menu located in the top right corner of the page.
2. Press Linked Accounts and link your Discord account with your BSG one.
3. Follow the Discord instructions before refreshing the Linked Accounts page to ensure that the process has been completed.

After completing these steps, if you've done everything correctly, you will have access to the Toolbox in Escape From Tarkov. Under the messages tab in game you will have gotten a SYSTEM message saying "Thank you for linking your Discord profile" with a package.

Inside said package there will be the Toolbox and a Discord-themed Armband. Put them in your stash and enjoy! Neither of them can be sold, so if you don't want to armband and, for some reason, you stop having a need for using the Toolbox, simply delete them.

This Toolbox is an excellent container to own in Escape From Tarkov 1.0 not just because it is free, but also because there isn't anything quite like it in the game. There are similar items which fill an almost identical purpose for other item types, like the Medicine and Ammo cases.

The Toolbox is a 2x4 slot container which houses 36 slots. As other containers of a similar nature, it is only compatible with a few item types. Those are:

• Tools (including Measuring Tape)
• Building Materials (including Nuts and Bolts)
• The Leatherman Multitool
• The Freeman Crowbar (even though it counts as a melee weapon)
• Paracords

Before having access to the Toolbox you essentially had to invest into two Scav Junkboxes if you wanted to save important items for quests and the Hideout, but with the addition of this new free container in Escape From Tarkov 1.0, you can go quite a bit further with only one Junkbox and a Toolbox.

You can fill the Toolbox with Toolsets (11 needed for Hideout, 5 for quests), Corrugated Hoses (31 for Hideout, 4 for quests), and with items that take up a lot of space like Hand Drills or the Sledgehammer.
