If you’re working through ARC Raiders and hit the A Reveal in Ruins quest, you probably noticed the game gives you almost no direction.

The task sounds simple, but players often get confused about where the ESR Analyzer actually is or why the quest doesn’t complete.

A Reveal in Ruins asks you to grab an ESR Analyzer from a farmacia in the Buried City and then extract it safely. After that, you take it back to Lance in Speranza. The important part is that the analyzer has to leave the map with you, or the quest won’t count.

Where to find an ESR Analyzer

You can find the ESR Analyzer in either of the two pharmacies in the Buried City. One is in Piazza Arbusto on the southeast side, and the other is in Plaza Rosa. Both doors are barricaded and need to be breached, which can draw attention.

Inside, look at the front counter for a yellow-marked container holding the analyzer. Some players mentioned they had to interact with it twice because the first interaction only inspects it, so double-check before you leave.

How to secure the item

Once you pick it up, store it in a safe pocket if you have an augment for that. If you die and it isn’t in a safe pocket, you lose it, and the quest won’t track. Extraction in the same run is required for completion.

Eastern Station is a solid extraction option. It’s southwest of the Piazza Arbusto pharmacy and is usually less active. After you extract, return to Lance in Speranza, and the quest wraps up.
