BLAST Slam I is almost here, and the action kicks off on November 26th, 2024. Ten elite teams will clash in a high-stakes battle, vying for glory and bragging rights, and with a $1,000,000 prize pool on the line, the event will definitely pack a punch.
Here’s a list of teams attending the inaugural BLAST Slam:
- Team Liquid: The reigning TI champions will grace BLAST Slam I, aiming to solidify their dominance, especially at a time when new and fierce competitors are emerging and challenging the status quo. With a new offlaner, the team is still in the midst of tweaking a few things but the overall vigour remains the same.
- Team Falcons: Falcons are a formidable team, having three final appearances and winning two of them in the current season, especially after winning DreamLeague Season 24. With their incredible lineup, which includes some of the most talented players in the scene, they enter BLAST Slam I as one of the favourites.
- Team Spirit: The two-time TI champions are currently in their rebuilding phase, enlisting two promising young players into their roster. Their recent performances have shown promise, especially at DreamLeague Season 24 and BLAST Slam will allow them to elevate themselves further.
- OG Esports: BLAST Slam I will be a true test of fire for OG. The legendary organisation will face a challenge to establish its presence once again, especially with a new roster. Although temporary, the current roster is filled with impeccable talent, as the team navigates through troubled waters.
- BetBoom Team: BetBoom keeps showing promise and are close to showing their full potential. They fell short at DreamLeague Season 24 where they reached the finals. Could BLAST Slam be a game-changer for them?
- Gaimin Gladiators: Gaimin Gladiators’ achievements in the past two years are a testament to their determination and perseverance. With only one change to its roster, the gladiators are out to prove their grit and prowess at BLAST Slam I.
- HEROIC: The South Americans were on cloud nine after defeating Team Falcons to win the PGL Wallachia Season 2. However, DreamLeague Season 24 gave them a tough reality check. They seek to recoup and demonstrate that they aren’t just a one-hit wonder and can constantly challenge the elite teams in the scene.
- Xtreme Gaming: Xtreme Gaming will head into the event as China’s representative. They boast the firepower to establish themselves as an unstoppable force at BLAST Slam I. Can Xtreme Gaming clinch the trophy?
- Tundra Esports: Led by the charismatic two-time TI champion 33, Tundra looks poised to make a profound impact at BLAST Slam I. The new roster is already showing results and one can always expect unique strategies to come to light.
- PARIVISION: PARIVISION is the new team in the competitive scene. However, their roster includes several formidable players, including a former TI runner-up. With the level of expertise within their lineup, the team quickly found their footing and secured a top-five finish in their most recent tournament, DreamLeague Season 24. Under the guidance of coach Astini, the team aims to establish its play style and sharpen its skills at BLAST Slam I.
