HOW DOES FANTASY WORK?

Participating in Fantasy is completely free of charge.
Players:
Pick 5 players. You can only have 1 player per category.
The 5 categories are based on roles in DOTA:
- Carry
- Midlaner
- Offlaner
- Soft Support
- Hard Support
You can only have up to 2 players from the same team.
The roster that you select will not be possible to change day-to-day, or between the group stage and the play-offs, so make sure to keep that in mind when creating your Fantasy Dream Team!
Points
The players you pick will earn points based on their performance in each match. The scores will be averaged across the number of matches played in a series and rounded down, before being multiplied by the point multiplier noted in the points system below.
Tiebreakers will not count towards the points tally for the players.
The points system for each position is as follows:
Carry:
- 3 points per kill
- -3 points per death
- 1 point per assist
- 2 points per 100 last hits
Midlaner:
- 2 points per kill
- -2 points per death
- 2 points per assist
- 1 point per 100 last hits
Offlaner:
- 1 point per kill
- -2 points per death
- 2 points per assist
- 2 points per 100 last hits
Soft Support:
- -1 point per death
- 2 points per assist
- 1 point per 8 wards
Hard Support:
- -2 points per death
- 5 points per 2 assists
- 1 point per 5 wards
Team Points
The players will also be awarded points for winning a series. Players on the winning team will receive 5 additional points for each win, while the players on the losing remain unaffected. If the series ends in a draw, no additional points are awarded.
Captain Multiplier
Upon selecting your roster, your team gets an auto-assigned captain. Captains get double the total points tally across the tournament, so selecting the correct one is vital.
Leagues
There are two main types of leagues available to all players.
Public Leagues will be automatically joined and rank you against the entirety of the Fantasy userbase.
Private Leagues can be created or joined and are personal leagues that you can join between friends, families, communities or however you please!
** Note: League names that break TOS can be disbanded and the accounts associated with them banned permanently.
