We're now at the end of the second day of European RMR A for the Perfect world Shanghai Major, and that means that the first two European teams have booked their place at the event.
Sadly, it also means that Rebels have been knocked out of Major contention with a 0-3 record, and they will soon be joined by either GamerLegion or UNiTY as the two teams do battle in the other 0-2 game.
But we're here for celebrations not commiserations, so let's have a look at how those first two EU teams, MOUZ and Vitality, qualified for the second CS2 Major.
The first of the two teams to qualify was MOUZ after taking down NAVI in their 2-0 game.
That series didn't start too well for them, they were taken down 13-4 on Mirage after a poor T side led to an 8-4 deficit at the half. However, MOUZ fought back strong, denying NAVI from reaching double digits on the following maps as they took Dust2 13-8 and Inferno 13-7.
Before that, MOUZ were dominant in their first two games, they defeated SANGAL 13-3 on Mirage and Nemiga 13-3 on Inferno.
Their performances leave their players looking good on the player rankings side of things, torzsi and Jimpphat sit as the fourth and fifth highest rated players at the event with 1.43 and 1.32 rating respectively.
Vitality also looked strong in the RMR, they opened their account with a 13-8 win against GamerLegion on Inferno and followed that up with a 13-3 Nuke win against BetBoom.
Their 2-0 game versus FaZe also began with a dominant win, they bodied them on Mirage with a 13-5 scoreline.
Despite missing BLAST Premier World Final due to becoming a father, mezii showed no signs of rust on that map, he cut FaZe down as they tried to take his A bombsite in the opening pistol round.
Map two, Dust2, was far closer, and FaZe even had the lead at 11-10. However, as they have so often before, Vitality dug deep and secured their spot at the Major with a 13-11 victory thanks to 21 kills from their talisman, ZywOo.
