Day one of EU RMR B may have gone really well for the likes of G2, BIG, 3DMAX, and Passion UA, but the same can;t be said for teams like Astralis, PARIVISION, B8, and TSM.
It's the biggest of those teams that we'll focus on here, and while they might be at a disadvantage due to the absence of device at the event, their second loss will be hugely disappointing.
Although hopes may have been high for Astralis to finally return to a Counter-Strike Major following their strong performance at BLAST Premier World Final, those hopes were dashed when it was announced device would miss out on travelling to Shanghai due to health issues.
That said, very few people would have expected them to be eliminated 0-3, especially because of the field in RMR B, but that is now looking like a real possibility as they're set to play B8 in their 0-2 game.
They began their time in the RMR with a match against 9 Pandas, the team that were unlucky to miss out on the first CS2 Major after visa issues prevented them from heading to Copenhagen.
A 13-9 win for 9 Pandas on Nuke, r3salt and shalfey combined for 41 kills as they put the hurt to Astralis, sending them down to the 0-1 bracket.
In their second game, Astralis would be paired off against huge Danish underdogs, Sashi.
Currently the third highest ranked team in Denmark, Sashi don't have any particularly great results prior to this one, but they do feature a former Astrlais man in Lucky.
And it was Lucky who top-fragged the game, sharing the top of the scoreboard with kwezz as Sashi recovered the map from a 7-5 deficit at the first half to win 13-11.
